Services

Your partner in Mauritania.

We work for buyers and sellers of Mauritanian seafood. You choose what you need, from finding the right product to watching it being loaded. Every order is different, so every service can be booked on its own.

Sourcing
01

Sourcing

We find the right product for your order.

Tell us the species, grade, presentation, volume and destination. We know the approved plants, traders and boat owners in Nouadhibou and Nouakchott, and we check who can supply what this season.

  • Market check for species, grade and season
  • Offers from approved plants and traders
  • Samples, photos and specifications before you commit
Quality control
02

Quality control

We see your goods before they are loaded.

We go into the plant during production and before loading. We compare what is packed with what you ordered and send you photos and videos the same day.

  • Grade and size check, glaze and weight
  • Packing, labels and carton condition
  • Cold-store temperature and container loading
  • Contract (SMCP)
  • Letter of credit
  • Health certificate
  • Certificate of origin
  • Catch certificate (EU)
  • Packing list
  • Bill of lading

Export & SMCP

We handle the paperwork in Mauritania.

Frozen seafood from Mauritania is exported through the SMCP, the national marketing company, and paid by letter of credit. We guide you through the process and follow every document until it is issued.

  • Contract and letter of credit via the SMCP
  • Health certificate and certificate of origin
  • EU catch certificate and packing list

Logistics

We get it to your port.

Frozen goods travel in reefer containers from Nouadhibou or Nouakchott. Fresh fish and live lobster go by air. We book, coordinate and track the shipment with the forwarder of your choice or ours.

  • Reefer containers by sea
  • Fresh fish and live lobster by air
  • Tracking until arrival at your port

Fresh & live by air

From the landing site to your market.

Premium fresh fish and live lobster leave Mauritania by air. We select the catch every morning, have it chilled and packed in an EU-approved plant and book the flight through to your airport. Fresh shipments also run during the octopus closures.

  1. 01

    Daily selection

Only the day’s catch from the landing sites of Nouadhibou and Nouakchott, checked fish by fish and iced at once.

  2. 02

    Chilled and packed

Pre-cooled to 0–2 °C and packed in an EU-approved plant: insulated boxes, liner, gel packs and a temperature logger, following IATA rules for perishables.

  3. 03

    Booked through

From Nouakchott, mainly via Casablanca to Madrid, Lisbon and Paris. Las Palmas for samples and live lobster. One air waybill to your airport.

  4. 04

    Documents

SMCP export clearance, ONISPA health certificate, EU catch certificate, certificate of origin, export customs and air waybill.

Best suited: white and dusky grouper, red porgy, dentex, large sole, meagre, John Dory, monkfish – and live spiny and slipper lobster.

Cargo space on the narrow-body flights from Nouakchott is limited, so we book early. Fresh shipments are usually paid in advance. Since 2025, fresh and live exports are also cleared through the SMCP – we handle this step and plan the timing with you.

For buyers

Importers, wholesalers and processors.

You want Mauritanian seafood in the right grade, at the right time, without flying to Nouadhibou. We are your eyes and hands on site, and we speak the language of the plants, the traders and the port.

  • One contact for sourcing, control and shipping
  • Honest reports with photos and videos
  • For buyers in Europe, Asia, the Gulf and Africa
For sellers

Traders, boat owners and plants.

In Mauritania the seller is often not the plant: many traders and boat owners have their catch processed in an approved plant. We connect you with serious international buyers and help you meet their specifications.

  • Access to buyers worldwide
  • Clear specifications: grades, glaze, packing
  • Support with processing at approved plants
